AS Roma goalkeeper shirt (black), 1997/98 — Michael Konsel (No. 1). Long-sleeve Diadora issue with INA Assitalia sponsor, from Zdeněk Zeman’s first season. Distinctive Colosseum graphic across the chest, orange/giallorosso trim, padded elbows and raglan sleeves. The back carries KONSEL 1 in the original pale plastic/flock over a large shield motif—season-correct player typography.

The Austria international arrived from Rapid Wien in 1997 and immediately became Roma’s first-choice keeper under Zeman. Experienced and agile, he played a proactive, sweeper-keeper style that suited Roma’s high line, impressing in Serie A after more than a decade in Vienna. He featured at the 1998 World Cup for Austria and, after two seasons in Rome, moved on to Venezia.
