Napoli away shirt (white), 1988/89, Diego Maradona's No. 10 in paint. Long-sleeve, made by Ennerre with Mars sponsor, stitched NR and round SSC Napoli crest, collared V-neck, and the signature twin blue chevrons. Finished with the original painted No. 10 to the back, the period NR application used on retail shirts of the time.

Napoli were managed by Ottavio Bianchi, finished 2nd in Serie A, and won the UEFA Cup, defeating VfB Stuttgart 5–4 on aggregate in the final. They also reached the Coppa Italia final, finishing runners-up to Sampdoria
