The yellow “lightning” third was a 1994–96 design (carried over into 95/96) and is famously rare. It wasn’t sold at retail and was only worn a couple of times competitively (Liverpool 1–0 Arsenal, Jan 1995; Aston Villa 0–0 Arsenal, Feb 1996)

Wright led the line through this period—sharp runs across the near post, first-time finishes, constant threat. Two seasons later he would overtake Cliff Bastin to set Arsenal’s scoring record, underlining where this shirt sits in his arc.
