Marco Simone was Milan’s quick, two-footed second striker who peaked across the mid-90s. In 1994/95 he struck 17 Serie A goals in 30 games (21 in all competitions) as Milan reached the UEFA Champions League final against Ajax; the following year, 1995/96, he added 11 goals in all competitions - 8 in Serie A, second only to George Weah - as Fabio Capello’s side won the Scudetto.
