Milan won the 1995–96 Scudetto under Fabio Capello. Baggio, the 1993 Ballon d’Or winner and USA ’94 icon, operated as a trequartista/second striker, linking midfield to attack behind Weah and Simone. In Serie A he contributed goals and creative supply in a side built on control and precision. He kept his trademark No. 18 throughout his Milan spell.
